Originally for Horn and Marimba, a 2015 version for Tenor Sax and Piano (featured in the above recording) led to a 2019 version for Tenor Sax and Marimba that was finally premiered.  However, this performance and subsequent discussion has led to the “final” version – the 2020 Sonatina for Alto Sax and Marimba.

If a marimba player is not available, the marimba part may be played by a pianist.
